Will Hike for Food (In collaboration with Weekend Sherpa and Walking Pasadena): Saturday, November 27th, 2021

We are proud to announce the 6th annual Will Hike for Food hike/food drive event! Not only will it be held in person this year, and not only have we renewed our collaboration with WalkingPasadena.com but we are excited to be adding WeekendSherpa.com as co-hosts! Additionally, NHLA founder David Lockeretz will be leading a hike at Noon Hill in Medfield, MA.

Hikers are requested to bring non-perishable food items to donate to Friends In Deed in Pasadena (friendsindeedpas.org). In the past, Will Hike for Food events have been scheduled on Black Friday to tie in with the #OptOutside movement. This time, we will be hiking on Saturday, November 27 at 9am, to allow those who have to work on Black Friday the opportunity to join us. Of course, if you have Friday off, you should #OptOutside anyways – and since the Saturday after Thanksgiving is Small Business Saturday, if you decide to reward yourself with a post-hike burger, beer or kale salad, feel free to patronize your favorite local small business!

We will meet at the trail head of the Cherry Canyon Trail in La Canada (approximate address: 4168 Hampstead Rd., La Canada) at 9am. Expected route will be about 3 miles with some moderate climbing. For more information including trail head location, click here. (Note that parking is limited and tends to fill up quickly, so plan accordingly).

NOTE: This hike is a casual opportunity to meet like-minded people and support the community. Nobody Hikes in L.A., Walking Pasadena, Weekend Sherpa and their representatives are not responsible for your conduct or anything that may happen during your hike. Be careful, and be respectful of others and of your surroundings. Time, date and location are subject to change due to weather and other conditions.
