  1. Great site! Thanks for sharing.

I’d love to see this list either broken down by area or just listing a general location after each hike!

    1. Hi Shawn, thanks for reading. If you look under the “find the right hikes for you” tab which is a pull-down menu, and scroll down, you’ll see that you can look up hikes by general location (San Fernando Valley, Angeles National Forest, etc). On each individual write-up, when you click on “location”, you’ll be linked to a map of the trail head. Hope you find this helpful.

  2. i have seen many sites and never really happy with them, this site provided me the info and spesifics i needed for my hike, thanks a million for this site keep up the good work…..

  3. If you’re ever in the Carlsbad area, check out Mount Woodson trail in Poway. One of my favorites. Great views and clean, well marked trails. On top of that, you get the potato chip rock near the top.

  4. Great website! One I’d like to see on here soon though: Margarita Truck Trail, in the southern Santa Ana Mountains. It’s a wonderful place, it took me three hours to get to Margarita Lookout from the end of Tenaja Road (and start of the trail).

    1. Thanks Reg! I’ll have to check that one out. We’re always looking for new suggestions about trails we might have missed. Do you have any more info (photos, etc?) about this trail?

    1. That is one of the long-term goals, it will just take a while to procure the various maps and embed them. In the mean time, many of the posts have links to downloadable maps from applications such as Everytrail and Map My Hike and some of them have links to managing agency (state park, national forest, etc) sites that have additional maps. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving and enjoy the hikes.
